One of my personal favorite game series of all time is Assassin’s Creed. The gameplay is great, an incredible story, and the fact that you can literally get lost in the game world for hours on end are some of my favorite aspects.
Plus, the games have always been based in some of the most unique and interesting times in history.
Now we can say that the tradition will continue with Assassin’s Creed III, details of which have just started to leak online over the last 24 hours.
As seen from these screenshots, the next chapter of the story will take us deep into another turning point in history, the American Revolution.
I can’t wait to see what this game will bring.

Just in case you might have had some thoughts that the Xbox 360 wasn’t so popular any more, here’s proof to the contrary. According to Microsoft, there were approximately 960,000 Xbox 360 units sold during the week of Black Friday 2011.
That’s a bunch of stinking consoles. With over 800,000 units sold on Black Friday alone, this was the biggest week in history for the Xbox 360 console.
Not far behind, sales of the Kinect were also pretty stellar, moving some 750,000 units during the same week. Now, I know that there were many sales on the system, including those bundled with the Kinect, which added quite a bit to these numbers, I’m sure.
I’m just wondering how many of those systems were for people that had never purchased a Xbox 360 before and how many of them were for people, like me, that just wanted to update their system? That would be something interesting to find out, I think.
